This summer we are highlighting a new collaboration between Hildasholm and Boråstapeter. Inspired by the gardens of Hildasholm and the unique atmosphere that characterises the place, a new wallpaper has been created: Hildasholm, designed by the designer Noomi Spange.
The wallpaper is printed using paste printing and draws its inspiration from the Arts & Crafts spirit that also characterises Hildasholm's garden. Just like the garden, the pattern is symmetrically constructed, yet simultaneously allows for the plants' own vitality. Here, the wild and the ordered meet in a pattern inspired by pear trees, peonies, daylilies, poppies, cornflowers, tulips, columbines and lily of the valley.
The design is by Noomi Spange, a designer at Boråstapeter. This summer, she will visit Hildasholm to talk more about wallpapers in general and the Hildasholm wallpaper in particular, and about how a wallpaper is brought to life, from the initial idea and sketch to the finished product. More information about this will follow.
