Matinee: Hilda - musical theatre at Hildasholm

This summer, our Hilda celebrates her 150th birthday and invites you to a big party!
Welcome to celebrate Hilda's outstanding creativity and to honour imagination as a meaning-making force, together with us. You are invited to a salon with music theatre by and with musicians Sofia Sandén, Johanna Dahl and Sara Fridholm, alongside actors Sofia Rönnegård and Hilda Stenshäll. The performance is created in collaboration with Leksands Marionett- och Figurteaterförening (Leksand Puppet and Figure Theatre Association).
It will be a generous performance in the inspiring spirit of Hilda Pennington-Mellor Munthe!

Participants
Sofia Rönnegård, actress
Sofia trained at the Stockholm University of the Arts and has worked with many of the country's independent theatre groups and established theatres, most recently at Dramaten. On TV, she has appeared in many productions, including *Innan vi dör* (Before We Die) and *Fröken Frimans krig* (Miss Friman's War), and this summer on SVT in *Svärtan*. Sofia also works as a playwright and lyricist, and this spring she debuted as an author with her book *Rummen vi delar* (The Rooms We Share) – three essays on theatre. In 2018, she received the City of Stockholm's cultural scholarship.
Hilda Stenshäll, actress
Hilda is an acting intern from the Malmö Theatre Academy. Previously, she studied on the acting programme at Calle Flygare Theatre School and she also holds a Bachelor's degree in Art and Literature Science from Uppsala University. She has also been active as a writer for Kult Magasin. This autumn, she can be seen in Jane Eyre, directed by Martin Rosengardten at Borås City Theatre.
Sofia Sandén, vocals and violin
Sofia is a singer and folk musician from Leksand, trained at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where she now works as a singing teacher at the folk music department. She has freelanced as a soloist and with folk music groups such as Ranarim and Sångsystrar, among others. Sofia has released many records over the years. Årtag is her latest solo album, released in 2025. She received the Dalarna Culture Prize in 2019.
Johanna Dahl, cello
Johanna grew up in Leksand and received classical training at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg during the 1980s. As a freelance cellist, she possesses a wide range of genres today and has been a permanent member of, among others, New Tide Orquesta, the folk music trio Krackel Kapell, the experimental and genre-defying Trio Lila, and Livets Orkester. Johanna has also composed music for SR Children's Radio and for many dance and theatre productions.
Sara Fridholm, accordion
Sara is an accordionist, singer, theatre musician and composer who studied at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg. She is a freelance musician with many years of experience as an acting musician and musical director at independent and regional theatres around the country, but also has employment with Musikalliansen. Sara plays with, among others, Livets orkester, Tzeitel and Blås, bälg och tagel and has composed music for various music groups, theatre productions and for SR Children's Radio. This summer, Sara will participate in Folkteatern Gävleborg's production of The Threepenny Opera at Träteatern in Järvsö.
Leksand's Puppet and Figure Theatre Association
Leksand Puppet and Figurine Theatre Association is a non-profit organisation founded in 2018 during Michael Meschke's revival of ”Himlaspelet med marionetter”. Michael led the work of training the ensemble in puppetry, 60 years after its premiere in Stockholm! The association was awarded the Prix Meschke in 2019 and has since produced several of its own performances. They have also participated in projects with schools and other associations in the municipality.
The dock actors in this performance are Anna Westman, Inga Hjohlman and Jonas Forsberg.
