This summer, Malin Björklund is exhibiting her ink paintings at Hildasholm - an artistic encounter between the forms of nature and the sensitivity of the Eastern ink tradition. Inspired by the place, its gardens and its history, Malin lets her brushstrokes capture impressions of flowers, needles and reflections.

Malin Björklund is a graduate of Norwich University of the Arts and works as an artist and pattern designer. Her work is clearly inspired by East Asian ink painting, where the spaces in between play as important a role as what is painted.

During the summer, Malin will also hold a ink painting workshop, where participants will explore the material by painting flowers with liquid acrylic ink. The workshop is open to all - no prior knowledge is required, just curiosity and creativity.
