Skulpturer av kvinnor ståendes i en trädgård

Timo Solin, born in Finland and living in Sweden since 1975, is a sculptor with an international career. Starting with large wooden sculptures, he soon developed a unique technique of cutting, bending and painting sheet metal to create female forms. In bronze, he allows the natural lustre of the metal to become part of the expression.

His work has been exhibited all over the world, from Europe and the United States to Japan and Mexico. One of his most famous sculptures is a five-metre-high installation in the Utsugishi-ga-hara open-air museum in Japan. At the Sven-Harrys Museum in Stockholm, one of his bronze figures can be seen on the roof terrace.

After an appreciated exhibition at Hildasholm last year, Timo Solin returns again this year with new works.
