New curator at Hildasholm

After six years as curator, Kicki Kobdock Haak is leaving her position at Hildasholm. During her time (2020-2025), the activities have been developed with new programme elements and a broader public offering.

As of 1 January 2026 tare Lena Hafdell over the assignment as curator. Lena has a long and broad experience of the cultural sector, including as CEO of Göteborgs Auktionsverk and coordinator of Gothenburg Museums and Art Centres' business units. She is already familiar with Hildasholm, as she served as acting operations manager in the summer of 2019 and also applied for funds for the collections.

During the winter months, Lena will continue to have assignments in Gothenburg, but will be on site at Hildasholm throughout the summer season.

Kicki will assist Lena during a transition period to ensure continuity and a safe start to the new year.

Lena herself describes her ambition as a curator:
"Combining the value of a cultural heritage with developing the business is what I have been doing for the last 25 years of my working life. For Hildasholm, I want to continue the good work that has been done in preserving the tradition while developing the business for a wider audience and increased revenue."

With Lena's experience and strong personal connection to Leksand, we look forward to continuing to develop Hildasholm and welcome both new and returning visitors.
