Concert: ARKEN
3 July @ 19:00 – 20:00

We are told that the sea will rise and floods will devastate our planet. How do we deal with reports of the impending end of the world? And have we been through this before?
In a collage of myths and prophecies, fairy tales and songs, we tackle the threat that hangs ever more heavily over us all. With texts from near and far, from the Roman Empire to Moominvalley, and music by Sting and Adele, among others, the timeless is woven together with the modern in a performance filled with humour and reflection.
The Ark concert performance is a reflection on our times, our fears and our ability to look forward with courage. Come and let yourself be swept away in a performance that touches you deeply, makes you laugh, think - and perhaps feel that you are not alone in your concerns about the future.
By and with Niklas Atterhall & Malin Sternbrink from the Romeo & Juliet choir
Director: Per Wernolf
Length of performance: 70 min
"It is funny, disturbing, terrible and hopeful in the performance Ark. But above all it is beautiful during an enchanted evening where Tove Jansson, the Bible, the Spice Girls, Ovid, Nostradamus and Take That are all in the same boat." Anna Carlstedt
