Construction and architecture<\/strong><\/h2>

When Hildasholm was built in 1910, Axel Munthe hired the architect Torben Grut<\/strong>, known for having drawn Solliden<\/strong> for Crown Princess Victoria and later Stockholm Stadium<\/strong>.<\/p>

The house is characterised by national romanticism<\/strong> and influences from the British The Arts and Crafts movement<\/strong>, where genuine materials and craftsmanship<\/strong> was the focus. The architecture avoids mixing styles and is characterised by clean lines.<\/p>

The main building, called Stone farm<\/strong>, is brick-built with a rough plastered fa\u00e7ade, small chequered windows and a high hipped roof with black glazed tiles. Two smaller wing buildings follow the same style.<\/p>

The construction was carried out by parish master builder Hallmans Per Karlsson from Tibble<\/strong> and was completed in autumn 1911 at a cost of approximately SEK 40 000<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
