Six sold-out ghost walks at Hildasholm

Over two September evenings, Hildasholm’s gardens and drawing rooms were filled with pale figures, flickering fires and stories from another time. This year’s ghost theatre The Stranger at Hildasholm drew full houses for all six performances.

As the late summer evenings darkened over Lake Siljan, visitors were met by a series of well-known – but long-deceased – figures. Among them were John Keats, Long John Silver and the Brontë sisters. The fires lit up the garden and the surroundings of Hildasholm became an atmospheric stage for an experience filled with history, humour and a thrilling mix of fear and delight.

Ingemar created this year's ghost theatre

Author of The Stranger at Hildasholm is Ingemar Blomqvist. He has written the script, planned the performance, built the props, brought the ensemble together and directed the entire production.

Behind the performances of the two evenings lie many hours of creative and practical work. The result was a newly written ghost theatre production created specially for Hildasholm and its unique environments.

A very special and warm thank you to Ingemar for fantastic work!

Thank you to the entire cast

On and behind the stage featured Peter Brask, Elinor Holén, Lasse Arnheim, Alfons Liss, Cecilia Larsson, Margareta Björklund, Lotta Daniels, Gry Fahlvik, Miriam Manni, Conor Walsh, Jonas Forsberg, Inga Hjohlman, Mathéo Ragnegård and Lina Hastegård.

Thanks also to Miriam Ragnegård for the work behind the scenes – and to everyone else who contributed in various ways to make the performances possible.

Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came and experienced the ghost walk with us. Six packed performances and all the wonderful feedback made those two September evenings something quite special.
