Outdoor painting with Anders Ståhl
8 August @ 09:00 - 9 August @ 16:00
Over two inspiring days, you will have the opportunity to paint outdoors at Hildasholm with the renowned artist Anders Ståhl, who specialises in plein air painting.
The course will be held in Hildasholm's beautiful gardens and by the shore of Lake Siljan. Inspired by the Impressionists and 19th-century outdoor painters, we will explore nature's light, colours and moods.
You can choose whether to paint in oils or watercolours. The focus is on the joy of painting, simplicity, and daring to capture a moment – rather than on a perfect final result. Exercises are alternated with your own painting and individual guidance from the course leader.
Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for both beginners and more experienced participants. It is an advantage to have tried the technique and equipment you wish to use before the course.
For beginners, Anders recommends oil painting, as watercolour can be a more demanding technique to master outdoors.
